When we observe, what are the signs?

Worrying about the score

Or latest stock to hit the floor

Hollywood’s latest pick

The gossip, and who is giving who stick

Is it the almighty dollar?

Globalization or jobs for the blue collar

That gets our attention today

Or perhaps have we lost our way?

Time to wake up, take a stand

Take stock of our lives and make a new plan

Put the important issues up there

Show those who need it we care

Sometimes I wonder, what we are thinking

We all stand by while masses are sinking

Into darkness and abyss

Man, something is really amiss!

Is it not criminal to stand by?

When hundreds of thousands today will die

How can we feast when there is famine

Our minds are focused on the mammon!

Could you give it all away?

Even lose your so called priorities for a day

Do the right thing for all

Listen, and answer the neediest’ call

Time to wake up, take a stand

Take stock of our lives and make a new plan

Vuelvo a despertar y me encuentro en la misma situación de privilegio de cada mañana. Personas que amo y me aman, alimento dispuesto a la mesa y la oportunidad de librar de tu a tu una nueva batalla.

Increíble que a pesar de ser consciente de mi fortuna, siempre asoman en mi mente, quejas, sinsabor y frustraciones, y por supuesto, más de uno ajeno a mí, es el responsables de este supuesto mal trance.

Un mejor México, es la hipocresía reflejada en deseo de muchos como yo, que tienen en la crítica aguda e irresponsable, una supuesta verdad que nunca, pero nunca, hace de lo mordaz algo loable.

Por alguna razón que desconozco pero agradezco, me doy cuenta que para tener lo mejor, no basta con disfrazar el entorno, tampoco el huir y dar la espalda al deterioro, lo mejor es algo que en suma lo tenemos que dar todos.

Mi país es la bendita tierra que acoge sin distinción a cualquiera que en ella nazca o simplemente llegue, no guarda rencor por el pasado y sigue dispuesta a seguir dando nuevas oportunidades sin cobrar detalle.

No puedo seguir pasivo ante tanto desastre, ayudar como pueda debe ser una constante, que no caiga en una simple aventura para sentirme bien, sino por el contrario se convierta en un compromiso en el hecho y no en el quién.

Hoy estoy convencido de ayudar, por el simple hecho de saber que tengo la bendita fortuna de aportar, mas estoy convencido no solamente de dejar caer un billete, sino de motivar por lo menos a uno más a sumarse a la carrera.

Si al final de un millón de intentos se logra generar un bien, tendremos recompensa y si no logramos nada, no importa, lo tenemos que volver a hacer, porque hoy como ayer ESTOY CONVENCIDO DE AYUDAR.
